PJ’s big night out
by admin on Feb.22, 2012, under Events
Our small floolight rig is all ready for PJ’s big night out on Saturday. This rig is available for hire (£50 per day, 2 rigs + controller) and is part of our range of lighting.
It has the advantage of being able to run off a single 13 Amp socket so is ideal for smaller events.
New additions to hire stock.

New additions to our event stock include this 2m x 1m aluminium staging platform. Ideal when all you need is a podium not a full stage. It’s very strong with removable legs and the platform can also be dismantled if necessary into 4 sections.
We also have these really useful weatherproof (IP55) connector boxes which enable temporary use of up to 4-way 13 Amp plug connection using extension reels or trailing plug boards.

We’ve been testing and tweaking the lighting and sound for Telford Town Park’s torchlight parade.
The new staging podium has come in useful already. Fingers crossed for good weather next week!

Ken Dodd tickles Shifnal
by admin on Sep.21, 2011, under Events, Productions
Shifnal Festival kicked off recently with a fantastic show from comedy legend Ken Dodd at the lovely Haughton Hall Hotel.
Scadge provided PA and lighting for the show, and, despite some suggestions of a very late night, Doddy closed proceedings at 12:15am.
It was a great pleasure to work with Ken and his team, and to get to bed before dawn.
Beat The Bolt
by admin on Jul.25, 2011, under Events
Ironbridge Sports, Science, Life festival on Saturday 23rd July 2011 were treated to lots of great sporting activities including archery, fencing, cricket, climbing wall, and various tests of agility.
We decided to put our green screen expertise to the test and created a virtual “Beat the Bolt” race where people could challenge the fastest man on earth in a virtual race over 100 metres. Usain Bolt’s current record is 9.58 seconds so people’s legs had to be quick to catch him.
The equipment was set up in the covered bays area near Enqinuity and we also marked out Usain’s huge 2.44 metre stride length and the distance he can cover in just 1 second (4.28 steps x 2.44m = 10.44m). For those who wanted to know, Usain is 6ft 5in tall (1.96m), hence the rather large stride length.
Thanks to all of those who challenged the Bolt!
