Here’s Jon setting up the equipment earlier this week for our virtual ‘Beat the Bolt’ challenge. You run on the spot and appear to be in the world record race with time and distance counting down very fast!

A very cold day was spent filming an assortment of vans, trucks and trailers at Allports Group HQ, Fradley. We’re hosting web video productions for them and their new ‘Allports TV’ channel.

Hosting web video is a new service wre’re providing which eliminates many of the problems that can happen when using other services such as YouTube. Packages can be provided on a monthly basis, tailored to your requirements.

2010 Young Apprentice 3rd place (should have been the winner…) Emma Walker visited Scadge Studios in December 2011 to record a video sales pitch for her new business Enterprise Days. The video was a prize for winning the 2011 Enterprise Now business competition hosted by Business Crayon.

Enterprise Days is a business which brings Young Apprentice style business skills to schools throughout the UK.

Emma had a little help from Lord Sugar to achieve the largest vote in the competition but her mature business approach and skills sets her apart from others her own age, and lots of those much older. Emma is also a student of the Peter Jones Business Academy, so has a thorough training in enterprise.

It was a pleasure working with Emma and we hope to be working more with her and her business in the future.

She also happened to mention that she loves singing, so our recording studio may well be hearing her singing voice too in the coming months.

Images from video footage of Alton Towers firework display 5th November 2011. The display was designed by Jubilee Fireworks and ran on 3 consecutive nights. It was spectacular. We filmed from 3 positions. These stills were from a camera on a cherry picker raised over 60ft up above the shops in Tower Street, left of the main entrance.

Recently we did a promotional video for top Shropshire building company TGH Builders. It was obvious that owner Tim Holloway has an attention to quality that sets his business apart. He took us to one of his recent projects in Shrewsbury that was knocking of two apartments into one big apartment and a complete refit throughout.

Rather than put together a promotional video which looked at the typical building process, or the team at work, etc we decided to cut the video together like a short, enjoyable advert TV style, with the informational bit at the end. See what you think:

A recent filming session for a business promotional video required us to use a cherry picker to get up to 20 feet in the air where we had a full view of the business team and their vehicles.

An interesting experience with no signs of vertigo, fortunately.

We’ve recently been working with Shires Fire & Safety – one of the leading businesses in the fire safety industry and a truly professional team.

They showed us around their control centre, excellent training facilities, warehouse and treated us to a few fire safety demonstrations. Impressive stuff. And all in a safe controlled environment.

We’ve also met some of the hundreds of businesses and consumers who entrust the safety of their staff and premises to Shires and heard lots of warm, glowing accolades…

We recently took a 4 person film crew to the lovely Astbury Hall golf course in Bridgnorth to cover the Lords Taverners charity golf day.

The weather was kind to us and the 25 teams of 4 golfers from businesses throughout the Midlands.

The course is privately owned by ex Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing and expertly maintained by an excellent grounds team.
